What is "Dry Media"?

Dry media refers to art materials that are used without liquid solvents. So no water, oil, or wet binders are needed to apply them. Instead, they rely on friction, pressure, or direct contact with a surface.

Some examples of dry media are: Graphite pencils, charcoal (vine or compressed), colored pencils, pastels, chalk, etc..
